Follow-up Comment #21:

I don't think we need to keep this bug report open any longer, it's as good as
it's going to get. The only improvement would be to explicitly list which
.texi files to ignore in .hgignore, which would mean maintaining a list of
.txi files in both the makefiles and .hgignore, lots of unnecessary busy work.
