Follow-up Comment #5, bug #55895 (project octave): Unclosed non-planar patches should work as well (not sure if they ever did). As for the other issue: If it is really the same lines of code that needs to be changed, I'd say include it in the same patch. If it is a different bug, maybe two separate patches would be better.
