[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #57198] The Editor is opening separately

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #57198 (project octave):

I also experienced recently a change in the GUI/Editor behaviour.
I'm used to have have a docked editor widget, so when starting octave with
octave --gui an empty editor widget should be in place. Now it is missing
until I open a file or select File-New.

However, unlike the original poster, it appears docked in the right place
then.

But I am running current dev on Xubuntu 16.04.
