Follow-up Comment #25, bug #57439 (project octave):

Just FTR, I think  __run_test_suite__.m  may not be a very representative but
it checks all Octave functions so does tell something about general Octave
performance.

Is there a similar command on Linux? I found that  __run_test_suite__.m 
doesn't work there.
