Follow-up Comment #4, bug #58110 (project octave):
Thank you for the info, "-dpdfcairo" works for me with "Nimbus Sans".
Just FYI, when I use it with "Helvetica", which doesn't exist on the box
octave is running, the resulting pdf has a substitute font, "Nimbus Sans",
embedded directly. Without "-dpdfcairo", the final pdf still references
"Helvetica" font.
