Follow-up Comment #24, bug #57635 (project octave):
Another manifestation:
Open some file in the editor.
Then remove the file from the subdirectory (delete or move elsewhere).
Then there's no way the editor will respond to mouse clicks in the text, not
even clicking on some other window and then come back.
