Follow-up Comment #21, bug #52840 (project octave):
This may still be an issue on macOS. I did a new build from the default branch
today, and when I run Octave (in non-GUI mode) and call `uiputfile()`, no
dialog appears, and Octave hangs.
uigetfile() works fine.
I don't know if it's caused by the same problem as before, since the Octave
5.x GUI overall doesn't work for me on macOS; it freezes on launch.
