Follow-up Comment #10, bug #58147 (project octave): I checked in Nicholas's patch on the development branch here https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/5bb1c0cbb27e. I checked in another changeset to change the documentation to use the more modern Octave format, increase performance, and add some %!xtest which are currently failing.
