Follow-up Comment #14, bug #58526 (project octave):

However, even if I don't know how much __calc_dimensions__ or other 2D/3D
properties of a graphic object are used by other functions, maybe imposing a
3D without changing the internal details of the graph (type?) can result in
other bugs as I pointed before.
