Follow-up Comment #28, bug #58957 (project octave): The backtrace was captured with an installation from the current release candidate of Octave 6.0.90 as available on alpha.gnu.org. That is not a debug build. So the symbols have been stripped and compiler optimizations are active. (Please, correct me if that is wrong.) The former means that there are no line numbers to the source files and that function names are mangled. The latter means that the compiler might have optimized out some variables and might have inlined some functions.
