Details:

In the appended example, when calling subplot(2,1,1) at end of script, the
subplot disappears as if subplot were called with the 'replace' option.

% If the subplot fct is called using an handle (subplot(sp1_handle) ),
everything is ok.

This also happens with version 5.2.0.
