Follow-up Comment #16, bug #59238 (project octave): @jwe: I crossed with your comment #14. A file that doesn't load correctly is file #50030. I previously tested with Octave 5.2.0. Running the test from comment #9 again with the release candidate Octave 6.0.90, it also fails. But with a cross-build from the default branch from last week, it is working fine. The file saved with "-text" still contains CRLF line endings. But all characters are read correctly.
