Greetings,

I am asking for implementing an Octave capability to read MATLAB 5 MAT ".fig"
files please. I am trying to open a GUI created in MATLAB (GUIDE i think,
MATLAB5 MAT file format) on Octave 6.0.90a but it fails either with load() or
hgload(). My OS is Windows 10 64 bit.

The error is the following:

error: load: error uncompressing data element (buf error from zlib)

Output is none. If I export the .fig file in MATLAB to a .mat file with a
single hgM_070000 struct, hgload() fails with the same error and load() loads
it but doesn't show the graphics.

Please find attached the .fig files.
