Follow-up Comment #3, bug #58401 (project octave): I'm happy to re-test but in the Octave website I only see downloads for releases of the 5.x version. Would you be able to point me to the page where I can download the installer for the release candidate? Also, I am not sure I understand the argument that this bug can be classed as a feature request? I agree it would be a very low priority bug that maybe doesn't need to be resolved any time soon since there are workarounds and it affects very few users in limited scenarios. Nonetheless, I'd suggest it is a a bug since the behavior is unexpected rather than a new feature.
