Follow-up Comment #8, bug #59589 (project octave):

I updated Octave to be fully Matlab-compatible here:

Now the programmer has two choices about where default color data will come
from.  Either the "ColorOrder" property if the options "stacked" or "grouped"
are present or the "ColorMap" property if "hist" or "histc" is given.
