Follow-up Comment #8, bug #59820 (project octave): These visibility attributes aren't very well documented. The behavior seems to be very dependent on platform and compiler vendor. Even different compiler flags seem to lead to different results. Getting this somewhat right seems to need a lot of experimentation. I don't have access to an Apple computer. So unless there is a developer on MacOS who is willing to invest some time into this, we are left with two options that I can think of: 0 Leave the MacOS builds broken to build up some pressure to hopefully motivate someone to look into this on MacOS. 0 Don't build with visibility settings on MacOS.
