Follow-up Comment #37, bug #59706 (project octave): I'm still not sure which function in Octave is "responsible" for calling the Win API functions that were identified as slowing down Octave (see comment #32). Tbh, that is mainly because Anonymous is refusing to obtain or show any (complete) call stacks (or I don't understand how the files they've attached could be useful in identifying those functions).
