Follow-up Comment #3, bug #59905 (project octave):

I tried to 
>>pkg uninstall optim
>>pkg uninstall struct
>>pkg install -forge struct 
>>pkg install -forge optim

in octave ver 6.1, but still got a problem:

>>     [params]=lsqcurvefit(skewed_norml,x0,xAxis',histData,[],[],options);
error: 'nonlin_curvefit' undefined near line 268, column 268
error: called from
    lsqcurvefit at line 268 column 21
