Follow-up Comment #6, bug #59822 (project octave):
Unzipping a "packed" working Octave installation from my home desktop to the
virtual desktop at work leads to the same issue.
Nr of files & subdirs + total & occupied bytes match exactly. So no
quarantining of dll's etc.
Yet these days there are malware scanners that only allow explicitly
whitelisted files to be loaded (e.g., "Traps" and the like) and leave
suspicious files on disk otherwise untouched. AFAIK our IT dept. used to
whitelist my Octave installations for me so this shouldn't play a role here;
but I'll ask.
@Torsten:
Does the document pane viewer need access to some specific location? if so
what access (read and/or write) and to where?
