good again is 6.2.0. 

I feel also, there are no java developers around... 
well I seem the be the only one who uses the interface. 
On the other hand, it is a vital aspect of matlab 
and shall thus be properly supported. 

I would like to help somehow, because I am a java developer... 
Well, i am very weak in c/c++ in turn. 
We shall cooperate. :))
