Follow-up Comment #21, bug #59546 (project octave):

@Markus: Those files look correct indeed. I attached a patch in which I
commented out the cleanup of temporary directories so that you can inspect
them after a failure. The compile failure warning should also show the command
that failed. With this it should be easier to pinpoint the origin of the
failure. 

It is a pity that for such simple changes, you have to go through the whole
process of cross compiling Octave. Many thanks for your time!
