With it, things seem to work reasonably well for me, but there is probably
still room for improvement.  In the past, closing the main window meant the
application was also exiting.  But with the new terminal widget that won't be
the case, so it seems to me that we need to do something different with most
(or all?) of those connections to the QApplication::aboutToQuit signal.
