Follow-up Comment #7, bug #62207 (project octave):

I don't know that it will help, but I removed the uses of the mutable keyword
for load_path class members in the following changeset on stable and also
merged with default:

Even if it doesn't fix the problem reported here, that's a change that should
have been done long ago.
