[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63317] failing BIST in variables.cc-tst (Octa

From: Hartmut
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63317] failing BIST in variables.cc-tst (Octave 7.3.0, Win10)
Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2022 11:22:53 -0500 (EST)

Follow-up Comment #4, bug #63317 (project octave):

I have now excessivly re-run
* the whole test suite via run_test_suite (still as normal user without admin
rights)
* the individual unit test of variables.cc-tst (20 times in a row)

and I have NOT observed any test failure any more. This was on the very same
PC as used for the original bug report (comment #0).

I do not know why this test failure is gone now. I assume it might be some
file access peculiarity, maybe that files that are touched for the very first
time need to be checked by the Windows virus scanner up front, maybe something
else.

Nevertheless, since this test failure is not reproducible in the long run, I
think we could savely ignore it and CLOSE this bug report. Sorry for the
noise.
