[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63437] Null pointer dereference in file-edito

From: Markus Mützel
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63437] Null pointer dereference in file-editor-tab.cc
Date: Tue, 29 Nov 2022 03:32:27 -0500 (EST)

Follow-up Comment #5, bug #63437 (project octave):

I'm attaching a patch that checks if the pointer to the settings object is
valid in more places. If it isn't, it uses (hard-coded) defaults.

I don't know if the settings pointer *can* be a nullptr in all of those
places. But adding the check probably doesn't hurt much either.
