Follow-up Comment #12, bug #63700 (project octave):

Maybe, we could default to the software OpenGL renderer if we detect on
installation time that an Intel graphics driver is installed/used.
@lostbard: Would that even be possible?

Alternatively, we could add a note in the README file of Octave for Windows
that advices users with Intel graphics to select "Software OpenGL" during
installation or switch to it using the "OpenGL Switcher" from the Start menu.
