Follow-up Comment #2, bug #63772 (project octave):
Windows 7.
I don't have (or at least never saw) a choice in default terminal/console.
It's the built-in one.
When run 'cmd' I see the colors that I have set it (you can change them by
right click on the upper margin of the window, and then "Properties")
For ex, now I've set it to white backgr, and black foregr, but this doesn't
affect what octave Gui shows at startup for background.
For cmd you can also change "Default" properties, and this seems to partically
affect the background of octave Gui. It shows a much darker shade of whatever
the cmd default backgr. is set to be, around the text.
Again, typing 'clc' fixes it (till next start).
The CLI octave does not have this bug.
