I am trying to use the latex interpreter, as described here:
https://docs.octave.org/v7.1.0/latex-interpreter.html

I have installed the three requisite binaries and have confirmed that the
locations that I provide are correct:
/usr/bin/latex
/usr/bin/dvisvg
/usr/bin/dvipng

The warning message that is generated begins with the following:

========

sh: 1: /usr/bin/latex: not found
warning: latex_renderer: latex failed for string "?"
* Command:
        "/usr/bin/latex" -interaction=nonstopmode
-output-directory="/tmp/latexr2TRZD" "/tmp/latexr2TRZD/default.tex"

* Error:

* Stdout:

This error message indicates that a temporary script is being generated and
attempted to run somewhere, but without access to the temporary files or the
location in the source code where this actually happens, I am unable to debug
further. Please advise how I can debug this.

Attached are the script and the EPS output that I get.
