Hi,

I'm just downloaded Octave v. 8.1.0 (the same error to be described here was
found in a previous version.) When try to execute a simple plot command (e.
g., plot(1:0.01:10)) with graphics_toolkit = 'qt', a figure opens with nothing
inside it. I even waited some minutes (perhaps could be a simple delay), but
nothing appeared.

It would be possible to change the graphics_toolkit, but the GUI edition
(which I also intend to use) relies on the 'qt' one. I'm running Octave in a
HP430 computer (core I3), 8GB of RAM.
