I agree that if the distribution consider the package manager
unworkable, ten it is the octave package managers problem. However, I
really believe the RPM build I proposed with the pkg.m from the CVS is
probably sufficient. If I knew more about debian packaging I'd propose
something for Debian as well, but hope that the RPm Spec-file is enough
to give the idea..
