OK.  In that case, I should add that if you
have used subplot() to draw more than one
plot in a window, the grid button does not
seem to work at all.  It is not too clear what
should happen in this case.  I doubt if there
is an obvious way to select which plot should
have its grid toggled.  So, if it is not too hard,
it probably makes sense to toggle all grids.

By the way, do you see the 2 buttons which are
now available as just a start?   Anyhow, they
are nice to have.
