I am worried you don't know the difference between GUI Octave and Octave GUI. These are two different projects that don't have anything to do with each other despite the fact that they provide a GUI for GNU Octave. Everything else is fundamentally different, starting with the fact that Octave GUI is building upon the free, platform-independent application framework Qt (GUI Octave must be some kind of MFC or similar Windows-only framework) to the way the terminal is integrated into the GUI. With Octave GUI you have a fully functional terminal emulator, for example. There is nothing you can do in a terminal that you can't in Octave GUI's terminal (there are a few that keep that statement from being true, but these are bugs anyways).

Please don't compare us to GUI Octave. GUI Octave is a miserable, non-free piece of software .
