Hi folks;
We were just preparing a contest for TopCoder:
http://www.topcoder.com/ and were informed that they don't support Matlab due to licensing issues, but they are big on SciPy, Java, and C++.
It seems like a great match, Octave and TopCoder. It could draw many more developers into TopCoder, while exposing Octave to some very interesting, and sometimes highly visible problem sets.
I'm sure you've thought of it before, I'm just trying to figure what would be involved in adding support for Octave into the TopCoder arena. Something for Google SoC 2013?
