There are ports of gettext to windows. What I know is that we'll need to 
compile the .po files with some Win32 program to make it recognize them. 
May be that'll also need to include some special win32 gettext 
headers/sources I've not yet looked deep enough into the matter. Just 
search around for gettext + windows and you'll finde somes pages 
describing the problems.
