In Q1 2003, I will have a fair bit of free time, and I want to help out with
Plex86, Bochs, and Wine. The reason is that in the future, I want everyone
who owns a computer to be able to run any OS/architecture combination of their
choice. Affordable, 100% Windows compatibility is something I think will be
needed to accomplish the transition to this future.

Here's a bit of background that should help you understand my level of
competence:

        - I'm a 2nd-year Electronic Systems Engineering student. I'm taking
          Engineering because I like it.
        - I'm confident I can pick up a new programming language in about a
week. Maybe a little longer if it's fairly exotic.
        - I just learned real-mode x86 assembly language recently, however
I've been programming computers for the last 14 years (starting when
I was 5 years old -- do the math).
        - In spite of only learning assembly language recently, I'm confident
that I understand most of what's going on. For example, I picked up
an Intel Architecture manual from 1990 and I understood most of the
          i486 section.
        - I was an Amiga user; I expect software to work properly, and I
          admire a solid, clean design.
        - I don't like spending a lot of time trying to get software to work
how it's supposed to. I agree with "Failure is not an option".

I'm probably missing something above -- feel free to ask if there's something
else you want to know.

Basically, I want to learn about plex86 and get it released in the process.
I'm going to start playing around with the plex86 code soon, but I figured I'd
ask: How can I be most useful?
