I'm beginning to think it's time to move the libglade reliant stuff
to GtkBuilder.

The advantages of such a move include:

* It seems to handle situations where part of the user interface is
glade generated and part is programmatically created.

* Custom widgets are handled much better.

* We'd no longer have to rely on dynamically loaded libraries, which
has caused problems especially on non GNU/Linux platforms.

Disadvantages include:

* Relies on Gtk 2.12 (not in Debian stable).

* An extra step will be required in the Makefile to convert from
  .glade to .ui files.

* I've heard there's an outstanding bug relating to Toolbars in
GtkBuilder, so we'd have to work around it.

Any comments?
