OS: Windows Vista for 32 bit
PSPP version 0.7.9
Action:-
   'File' menu option 'Import Delimited Text Data...'
   Wizard comes up.
   Prompts for file name (Unformatred Text File; Fields delimitted by Comma)
   Forward
   You can select as many casees (or records) from the top
   It reads the file; assigns variable type & size automatically -> you can change as you wish
   Forward
   Bingo!... You have the data in your PSPP imported from the text file (comma delimitted fields)
 
Let me try more complicated cases and I will let you know
