Great!

I like this idea! Just because ratpoison might require an advanced user
to be used it shouldn't mean it should need extra work done just to be
used. Once installed it should just work. (And after all its default
greeting tells the user how to get help.) (:

My opinion is: please apply to the package! (post sarge)
(However my words might, or might not, be of importance)

It seems like packages in general do not use the icon field in the
xsession file. Is there a reason behind that? I googled a bit, but
didn't find anything. Gnome as one example I think would have a icon, so
maybe Debian prefers to always display a swirl instead of the session
specific icon?

An issue that has troubled me for a while now is the debian/ directory
in upstream cvs. Couldn't that one be either removed, or preferably kept
up to date with the official debian/ directory? Several solutions for
implementing that are possible, delegating responsibility and giving
commit access to krooger is one - setting up a script that automatically
commits and debchanges released versions into upstream cvs is another. I
could volunteer to write that script if it were to put into live action.
