A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Kero van Gelder <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: Rouge
System name: rouge
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Rouge is the Ideal User Interface for Ruby.
Rouge will feature:
- An intuitive API, using Ruby\'s unique expressive and readable idiom. An API
that stays out of the programmer\'s way.
- Attractiveness. It must look equally attractive on all platforms. (need/will
not look equal on all platforms.)
- Portability. Rouge must run on any platform Ruby is able to run on.
Specifically, initially supporting X (Qt, GTK), Windows, and MacOS?, with
consideration for handhelds.
- Internationalization.
- Native Look and Feel. The toolkit should look and behave in the same way the
GUI on the host system does. It should integrate with native platform GUI
(drag/drop, clipboard, docking, Look & Feel). If this is impossible (either
because there is no toolkit, or because a toolkit doesn\'t support a particular
feature), Rouge will provide it by itself.
