A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Craig Routledge <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: Colander Internet Agent
System name: colander
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Colander is a Java application which acts as a scripted personal Internet
agent. That is to say, it interacts with a resource on the Internet and
generates results or summaries in a standard format which can then be processed
in several ways. The motivation behind this project was a long standing desire
to automate various tasks that tend to be performed every day.
Ideally, it should be able to handle any resource or initiate any action
through the use of plugins. The standard distribution will be limited to a
common subset such as XML, RDF/RSS, HTML and the like. User\'s will be
encouraged to develop and exchange their own plugins.
Access should be possible through a standard web browser, with Java support
required for some operations. Minimal access requirements are desirable.
It already exists (in part) and you can see it at
