A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Nicolas Bouillon <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Nuclear Resurrection
System name: resurrection
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
\"Nuclear Resurrection\" is a project to make a real-time (no turn based)
wargame, like Blizzard Starcraft(tm) or Westwood C&C(tm).
This project has three main goals :
- to have a good wargame on our favorite OS ;
- to experience ourselves with menaging a big project from the begin to the end
;
- to experience with C++, real time, graphics, and network programming.
The requested base features are :
- multiplayer game in TCP/IP network (with a independant server program - like
freeciv) ;
- run on both GNU/Linux and MS/Windows.
- graphics would be in 2D, to make a 3D isometric world ;
- map éditor ;
- skinable units and structure
We would use the ClanLib library for this project (www.clanlib.org).
It does not exist yet but we are highly working on it.
