A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Erik Walthinsen <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: MetaNet
System name: metanet
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
MetaNet is an infrastructure for building network services daemons. It\'s
based on a message-passing architecture so disparate services can hook into
parts of other services and respond to events or even completely override
standard behavior. An IPC protocol will be implemented by which separate
processes can trade messages, even across the network.
There is currently a functional Perl version of MetaNet with a captive portal
built on top of it for testing. A C version is the long-term goal, but any
language could be used as long as the architectural style is kept intact and
the IPC mechanism is compatible.
