Ulf Ekström <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Airstrike
System name: airstrike
Type: non-GNU

Description:
Airstrike is a 2d dogfight game inspired by the great games \'Biplanes\' on the
Intellivision and \'BIP\' on the Amiga. The player controls a WWI biplane and
fights other pilots using a variety of weapons. The project aims for a playable
and polished, network enabled version at first, and then an extension of the
game to allow for larger and more varied levels etc.
The engine currently features pixel perfect collision detection and physics
combined with modular sprite code. The program is written in C, and uses the
SDL library (see www.libsdl.org) for graphics, sound and input. It is beeing
developed on GNU/Linux, but has already been ported to other operating systems.

The graphics have been created using the Povray raytracer (see www.povray.org),
and the model files are availiable for anyone to modify and improve (under the
terms of the GPL).

An early version of the game can be found on
www.ifm.liu.se/~ulfek/projects/airstrike

Other Software Required:
SDL (www.libsdl.org)
SDL_image

Other Comments:
The initial release is completely written by Ulf Ekström (address@hidden)
