Description:
This project ensures the permanent update of a reference encyclopedia article 
in French on free software, licensed under the GNU FDL, and
titled \"Logiciels Libres\". The initial paper version was authored by Philippe 
Aigrain, and appeared in the Encyclopedia \"Techniques de l\'ingénieur\" in 
February 2003. The paper version makes reference to the free version and 
indicates that it is licensed under the GNU FDL.

Some references to images will be updated as soon as the project will be 
accepted.

Note that translation in other languages, in particular non-English as many 
relevant papers exist already in English, is welcome, but will not be ensured 
by those presently committed to the project.





Other Software Required:
The encyclopedia article is written using LYX itself dependent on latex. These 
software are usually found in free operating systems or can be downloaded 
easily.
