Ok, I get your problem. You are right, the status is missing the predefined
Advanced query form for trackers others than the bug other, and it should be.
Thanks for the report, I will fix that problem soon (maybe not today, I have a
train to take).

Status: Open
Summary: Only Bug tracker allows Status Search
Original Submission: with the next expanded interface, all items have the same
properties as the bug tracker. However only the bug tracker allows you to
select the status for Items to display.
This means you cannot restrict your view to open items for patches, support and
tasks.
This will make projects difficult to manage as you get large numbers of items
in the trackers.

To hopefully explain the problem more accurately.
Example Tracker, Stratagus Patches Tracker, currently logged in as project
administrator.
https://savannah.nongnu.org/patch/?group=stratagus
The options you have specified, and when status appears or not.
Basic, Simple - Status is an option
Basic, Multiple - Status is an option
Advanced, Simple - Status is not available
Advanced, Multiple - Status is not available
However on the Bugs tracker for the same project, still logged in as project
administrator
https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=stratagus
Basic, Simple - Status is an option
Basic, Multiple - Status is an option
Advanced, Simple - Status is an option
Advanced, Multiple - Status is an option
The difference is the Advanced option for the patch tracker at least, does not
have the status option.
Sorry for the haphazard first bug report, I will try to do more research and be
more consise in future.
I see that they are configurable, but I would assume that status would have
been available by default in advanced mode. If this is not going to be the
case, you can close this item, and I will configure all the trackers to have
status as an option.

I'm not sure to understand your question.
First, I would like to mention that the query you can make are entirely
configurable. There are only two proposed by default, called "basic" and
"advanced" but any project can add for itself new ones.
Secondly, these two query forms, "basic" and "advanced", by default include the
"status" as a criterion. Can you provide an url to a tracker that does not
propose the status as search criterion?
