Hi,

I think that if I cannot compile Batik, I won't be able to run it
either.

The point is that software projects hosted at Savannah must be
compilable and runnable under a completely free operating system,
which excludes using Sun's JDK.

If there is no way to compile or run Batik using a free software Java
suite, then your project will rely and proprietary software and cannot
be hosted at Savannah, unless you decide to switch to a free SVG
engine such as Mozilla SVG - or unless you find a way to compile and
run Batik using only free software.

What do you plan to do?
