The FSF supported crown jewel project, the GNU GCC project, is moving to
subversion as well. http://gcc.gnu.org
There seems to be growing interest from GNU free software developers to move
away from cvs and towards subversion for the many benefits it offers free and
open software developers. Timely and regular free and open status reports
(rather than free and open brick-wall-like repetative form letters), along
with free and open discussions would keep the important free and open
software developers up to date with the planning and implementation of this
important free and open subversion support allowing them to more
knowledgeably plan the hosting details of their free and open projects. This
would be freely and openly appreciated.
