This is not quite correct. I've just checked that people can checkout
web pages of groups they are not members of (yes, I used an account
that isn't listed in the www group); of course, they can't
commit. the point is that "ssh -l aminb vcs.savannah.gnu.org"
returns "Permission denied (publickey)" for Amin.
