Follow-up Comment #4, sr #108996 (project administration):
Hello Bob, Pavel, (and Alfred over on the mailing list),
I see, so it was because I wasn't previously a member of any group and thus
had no Unix account on the server.
I can now confirm that I'm able to checkout www just fine:
cvs -z3 -d:ext:address@hidden:/web/www co www
