In this preliminary stage, I installed the compiler, emacs, etc  ... on 
the target and compiled natively the softwares. I guess I compiled too 
speechd-el; but I would have to rebuild it for being sure.

Great! All this activity will hopefully lead to more accessibility 
packages available in OpenEmbedded.
